Scars are an inevitable by-product of hair transplant surgery, and a common reason for men to seek a scalp micropigmentation artist. Even with the best physician and the cleanest incision closures, there is simply no way to avoid the production of scar tissue. By depositing tiny micro-dots of pigment into the scar tissue to replicate the appearance of shaven hair follicles, the visibility of the scar is reduced significantly, often by as much as 90%, enabling the client to live a happier, more confident life.

There are many different forms of hair restoration surgery, and therefore the scars we treat vary significantly from client to client. Most commonly we are asked to camouflage FUT (strip) scars, the linear scars across the back of the head that usually stretch from ear to ear, however we are seeing increasing demand for FUE (dot) scar camouflage too.

More specialized solutions are available for bearers of scalp reduction scars, neurosurgery scars and skin blemishes from head trauma, burns and birthmarks.

I actually had a complete stranger stop me and tell me "great hair style" after my 2nd session. He really listened to what I wanted and made helpful suggestions throughout the procedure. I drove all the way to Buffalo, which was about an hour and 20 minutes away, for my individual sessions, and let me tell you, it was incredible. John, the professional behind it all, is not only skilled but also personable. The results are worth every minute of travel and every penny spent (which was less expensive than I thought it would be). I will definitely going back as needed, and I've already been raving about John's work to everyone I know.
